In mid-2015 Kase was playing bass in Sheffield rock band, Riker.
Sophie was performing around the country as a solo act.
Following a successful gig filling in for Riker in the absence of their vocalist, Sophie was asked to join the group full time, however, it was not to be. Riker was short-lived and, sadly, soon fell apart.
From the pieces, a duo - Felix Culpa - was born.
Felix Culpa are Sophie Mapplebeck (vocals, guitar, percussion) and Kase Allen (bass, guitar, backing vocals). Upbeat sets combining classic songs with unique arrangements and more than a few curveballs thrown in, we aim to get any crowd singing along, saying "I haven't heard this for ages!" and coming back time and again.
It started with a seed. An idea shared amongst friends. They imagined a secret garden, where all can enjoy curious refreshments of nature...
A concept like no other, offering a soon to be world-famous selection of botanical cocktails, craft beers and ales, Champagne and wine. Food inspired by the deli, rotisserie and grill. With live music every night, sublime social times are guaranteed!

We haven't done a Thursday night in a while, there's a good chance we'll be playing in the gorgeous bandstand for this one at The Botanist in Sheffield!
