Description

The Poisoned Electrick Head sound could be described as a combination of space rock and angular post-punk, with heavy, distorted guitars and analogue synthesizers providing an idiosyncratic backing to the two lead vocalists' unconventional scattergun delivery. An early review in the 'popular' music magazine NME described them as sounding like "UK Subs playing early Genesis".,and the band drew frequent comparisons to Hawkwind, Devo, and Cardiacs. Many Poisoned Electrick Head tracks also experimented with ambient electronic passages, dropped-in samples and dub techniques.

We’re a passionate community of festival lovers, environmentalists, activists, campaigners, gardeners, musicians, builders, philosophers, educators, travellers, health workers and artists.

The Green Gathering festival is commissioned by our Charity and produced by the charity’s event production company Optimistic Trout Productions, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). Any financial surplus from the festival goes to the GG Charity to fund creative environmental and educational projects (more info).
