Rupert performs regular solo shows as well as duo performances with the project “One Voice, One Cello & A Mad Belgian”. He also plays in a unique 2 cello and violin jazz-fusion/crossover ensemble called “Arcopia” with renowned jazz cellist Gunther Tiedemann and London-based violinist Chris Haigh. As a double bass player, Rupert also regularly performs in a number of ensembles such as Dai & the Ramblers, The Boneshaker Band, The London Klezmer Quartet, The Niche London Quartet and many more. He has played at large scale events such as the 2012 Paralympics & the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations, and has performed for clients such as Amazon, Boots, Dunhill, Asda, the American Embassy and Buckingham Palace.

Rupert has also performed to celebrity clients, including Prince Philip, Joe Wright, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jude Law, Sir Antony Gormley, Charles Dance, Orlando Bloom, Nigel Planer (The Young Ones), Chris O’Dowd (The IT Crowd), Jeremy Clarkson (although he left quite quickly!) and Ray Davies (at a pub, actually). He has featured live on BBC Radio London and BBC 6 Music with his own band Kuma Lisa, as well as having performed live on BBC Radio 3, BBC 6 Music and BBC 2 television.

We are an INDEPENDENTLY owned live music venue in Leytonstone, East London, Established since 2004.

We host live music performances 7 nights a week featuring talented musicians & bands from all over the world.

Last year we had over 2000 different performers at the venue, all FREE of charge to our fast growing music community.

Both floors offer a quality selection of craft beers, our own Luna pills, selected wine, spirits and Yard Sale pizza.

Our comprehensive listings covers everything from jazz, blues, rock, comedy and art exhibitions. In fact we are considered "the most diverse music venue in London".

We are a stone throw away from Leytonstone underground station on central line.
