Trulosound plays classic soul and disco, all with a south London party style — we call it SafSol. That means anthemic tunes, soaring vocals, pumping bass and a percussion-fuelled beat, made for dancing.

We’re all about creating a party vibe and delivering an entertaining show, with something for everyone.

South London is legendary for its house parties in 1960/90s, which had a style of their own … super friendly vibes, dressing up, dancing and singing along to a wide spectrum of great music — and carrying on till very late.

Trulosound recreates those magical times. We consciously avoid the function band top 50 (Superstition, Play that Funky music, etc); instead we seek out tunes treasured by music lovers for generations.

The band is fronted by Mr Lance Kirby, who some may recognise from his time with the House Gospel Choir. Lance’s rich barritone voice is like honey to the ears, and his warmth and humour gets everyone hooked.

Trulosound’s rhythm section of Mel, Far I, Clinton, Tris and Cousin G are veterans of the UK urban music scene. Collectively, they draw upon experiences playing soul, funk, reggae, lovers rock, ska, acid jazz, afro and samba to serve up infectious grooves.

We are an INDEPENDENTLY owned live music venue in Leytonstone, East London, Established since 2004.

We host live music performances 7 nights a week featuring talented musicians & bands from all over the world.

Last year we had over 2000 different performers at the venue, all FREE of charge to our fast growing music community.

Both floors offer a quality selection of craft beers, our own Luna pills, selected wine, spirits and Yard Sale pizza.

Our comprehensive listings covers everything from jazz, blues, rock, comedy and art exhibitions. In fact we are considered "the most diverse music venue in London".

We are a stone throw away from Leytonstone underground station on central line.
