Matt & Phreds Brass Battle

Genre

Description

Matt and Phreds love Brass... really LOVE brass. Over the years we have hosted some of the best and M&P's Fourth Brass Battle is going to be a corker as Heavy Beat Brass Band go head to head with Dead Beat Brass! These are two of the hottest young bands on the circuit so expect musical sparks to fly!

If you like your brass get down to this Battle!

HEAVY BEAT BRASS BAND

Heralding from the Birmingham Conservatoire, Heavy Beat Brass remix modern Jazz, Pop and Funk music with the sounds of a roaring New Orleans brass band. The band is inspired by the heavy drum beats of modern day second line brass music and tonight they will be playing a wide variety of original brassy compositions as well as classic and modern pop tunes remixed with the sounds of a New Orleans brass band, combining jazz influences and improvisation with Hip-Hop & RnB, Drum & Bass, Reggae and much more.

DEADBEAT BRASS

Deadbeat Brass are a 10-piece Riot Jazz band from Huddersfield, Yorkshire. They take popular rock and dance floor classics, bring them to life with the upbeat grooves of the New Orleans street band style, add in some gut-busting solos and get the party started! Deadbeat Brass have supported the likes of Hot 8 Brass Band and Israeli-funk band The Apples on their UK tours as well as performing at Beat Herder and Kendal Calling festival.
