Blown Away! are a higher intermediate band catering for players between grades 4 and 6 who would like to improve. Many players eventually progress to playing in Bristol Concert Wind Band itself. Blown Away! plays at least one formal concert and summer outside gigs in and around Bristol each year.
Page Park, situated in Staple Hill, Bristol, stands as a cherished public green space, consistently recognised with the prestigious Green Flag Award for its exceptional management and facilities. More than just a park, it functions as a vital community hub, sustained by the dedicated efforts of the Friends of Page Park, a registered charity committed to its ongoing enhancement and accessibility for all local residents and visitors.
Within its bounds, the Bean Tree Cafe and its adjoining community room, The Nest, offer a welcoming retreat. The cafe's bright, spacious interior, often filled with the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee, provides expansive views of the surrounding parkland, creating an atmosphere conducive to both quiet contemplation and lively conversation.
The park's meticulously maintained grounds feature accessible paths, ensuring ease of navigation for all, alongside modern public toilet facilities, including a dedicated Changing Places toilet. The cafe provides a selection of hot and cold beverages, alongside a varied menu of snacks and light meals, catering to diverse tastes.
Throughout the year, Page Park hosts a dynamic calendar of activities, ranging from regular artisan markets showcasing local talent to open-air bandstand concerts and outdoor yoga sessions. The community room also facilitates various local group meetings and workshops, reinforcing the park's role as a focal point for local engagement.
