Citizen Smith ”The new waves Faves” - three mates that successfully bring together so many factions from varying music/fashion sub-cultures of the 60s, 70s and 80s.
They have an instinctive knowledge that only experience brings, they play the songs from their era and have found a common ground that unites them.
Every song is accurately played with attention to detail that others fail to deliver, but more importantly when they play, every song is performed and played in the spirit that was intended.
The musicians in CS each have a musical CV that is not only amazing in a professional understanding, but more so, it shows that they are musicians who have found and lived real success in the bands they respectively came from and still have a passion for their art.
When you see CS you will witness a band that deliver every performance with all the gusto, sweat, showboating and style that can’t be faked!
CS are the real deal - a MOD, a RUDEBOY and a RASTA/PUNK/ROCKER.
They perform songs by - The Jam, The Sex Pistols, The Beat, The Ruts, Elvis Costello, Gary Newman, Joe Jackson, Blondie, David Bowie, Duran Duran , The Clash, The Pretenders, The Specials ,The Jags, The Police, The Stranglers, The Clash, The Who, Billy Bragg, Joy Division………………….
Families are welcome in this large and spacious pub converted from Victorian stables, adjacent to Paradise Park bird sanctuary.
It is a large, one-room bar whose décor is a mix of stable paraphernalia on the beams and walls, painted-up casks over the bar area, and a wall decorated with a large dominant mural by Terry English depicting scenes from Cornwall's industrial past.
Outside is a large seating area.
Parking is shared with the bird sanctuary.
Please note. Winter opening times may vary.
Back by popular demand, the very best of the New Wave with the odd Punk classic thrown in for good measure. Be there or be square!
