This Gig is in the past, if you were there leave a review below
Jed Potts and the Hillman Hunters have been supplying only the deepest of grooves and the rudest of shuffles since 2008.
The trio is completed (most of the time) by Jonny Christie and Charlie Wild on drums and bass respectively and are all about general musical rascallity, although usually within the confines of a 12 bar structure, mind you.
You can mostly catch JP & the HH around Edinburgh but every once in a while they get out and play a festival and they've also opened for the likes of yer Ian Siegal, yer Nimmo Brothers and yer The Hoax, to name-drop but a few.
Jed, being the chronic over-achiever that he is, hates staying-in of an evening and so also plays with other popular beat-combos like The Blueswater (which also features Charlie Wild, although on guitar, mind you), Swampfog, The Katet and some others. On occasion he's even been called-upon to dish-out his trademark hot licks with the likes of yer Blues n' Trouble, yer Maggie Bell, and yer Brandon Santini.
Despite the aforementioned over-achieving it's taken a while for the Hillmans to get an album in the can, but it's finally done and will be hitting the racks (ie. sitting in a box in Jed's mum and dad's house) on April 8th, 2018! It's released on Chambers Street Collective, which isn't actually a label, it's just something Jed made-up to make it seem like he's more important than he actually is, and to give you the impression that bands actually get signed these days, and that bands/labels can actually sell records.
Our story is one steeped in adventure, a love of great food, drinks and a passion for theatrics. A haven for those with a thirst for discovery, tank fresh beer, artisan coffee, fresh Scottish scran, cocktails and super fine wine.
Located perfectly in the heart of Edinburgh, directly opposite Waverley train station, Brewhemia is the city’s largest restaurant and bar hosting 5 separate areas spread across 2 floors.
From breakfast until bedtime we proudly serve artisan coffee, fresh Scottish produce, unique tank beers, hand-crafted cocktails and a delectable selection of wines, spirits and proseccos.
Indulge your senses and share in the wonder of Brewhemia.
Come see us play some slightly more relaxed r'n'b and blues as an accompaniment to your Sunday-dining experience.
