Live Performance
Southern Rock / Modern Classic Rock / Heavy Rock
Nitroville was founded by vocalist, Tola Lamont and guitarist, Kurt Michael. In 2016, Nitroville released their album 'Cheating The Hangman' with Scandinavia’s biggest rock & metal label, Mighty Music ~ home to artists like The Tygers of Pan Tang, Marco Mendoza (The Dead Daisies/Whitesnake/Thin Lizzy). Signing with a respected label offering a comprehensive media presence was the one important step to climb the next ladder. Nitroville quickly drew the attention of the international press which commented on the band’s rock solid musicianship, catchy song writing, powerful vocals of front woman Tola Lamont and lead guitarist, Kurt Michael’s freight train guitar riffing. The band created a modern classic/heavy rock, Southern inspired badass sound, evoking imagery of road movies of the darker kind. The songs are relentless and raw, at times menacing and paranoid, as much as poetic, big and spacious, delivered with a wall of classic Marshall amp sound.
‘Cheating The Hangman’, garnered positive coverage in Rock music’s biggest international publications from UK’s own Classic Rock and Fireworks, to Germany’s Metal Hammer and Rock It, Finland’s Inferno and Denmark’s Metalized. Canada’s leading rock magazine Sleaze Roxx voted Cheating The Hangman the “Album of the Year 2016!”
Shortly after formation, Nitroville were touring venues and festivals in the UK and continental Europe, such as Motorcycle Jamboree, a festival near Berlin, where they supported U.D.O (ACCEPT lead vocalist – Udo Dirschneider). The band also played sets in Nashville and West Texas, the latter of which has always been a location for inspiration to many of Nitroville’s songs. Nitroville have built a strong reputation for their badass rock'n'roll shows and for being a reliable act in the industry.
Nitroville are currently gigging and touring venues/festivals in UK/Europe - alongside recording and planning their 3rd album release/distribution via Target/Mighty Music (Scandinavia/USA), Bickee Music, (Japan).
