Description

Built For Comfort emerged from the ashes of Swindon based, The Hot Tamales in July 2002. Founder members Alec Adams and Bill Jones were joined by Phil Tait on drums, Chris Goddard on bass and John Ingleson on guitar.

Bill and Alec had met in the summer of 2000 when Alec was seeking harmonica lessons. Bill knew Chris from many years of playing together in The Vindaloo Brothers, Phil was a chance encounter from working with a TV leasing company and John answered a local advert by the boys for a guitarist. And then the story began. By the summer of 2004 the band had played over 65 gigs together, averaging about one a week.

Now, over a decade and hundreds of gigs later, Built For Comfort have turned into one of the tightest, rocking Rhythm and Blues outfits on the circuit today! The recent addition of Blues guitar maestro Michael King on guitar and Simon Needler on Hammond organ and piano have added a new dimension to the band. Little wonder they wow audiences wherever they play!

Built For Comfort have supported among others Wilco Johnson, Paul Lamb And The Kingsnakes and Ben Waters.

Description

2019 Tickets are only £55.00 for Adult Weekend Tickets or £140 for a Family Weekend Ticket, including FREE camping.

Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, Minety Music Festival is now in its second year, following on from the success of the 2017 event, which was shortlisted in the UK Festival Awards (Best New Festival category).

This community not for profit 3 day summer music event (run entirely by volunteers) aims in 2018 to raise funds for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Combat Stress and Naomi House & Jacksplace Hospice, as well as securing future charity fundraising events.

Minety Music Festival is a 3 day music festival with over 40 bands on 2 stages... Plenty to do and see for the whole family. It’s a great way to spend your summer weekend...
...and generally an excuse to have a bit of a party!

Although we have booked hot weather, we will be prepared for all eventualities! The main stage will be undercover, so whatever happens, you can stay dry and enjoy a superb weekend of music from a fantastic line-up, showcasing local music talent and covering a wide spectrum of music styles.
While we can’t predict the weather, you are guaranteed excellent music, a great, wide range of food and a well-stocked house Bar, Gin & Prosecco Bar and Cocktail Bar! There will also be a range of FREE activities in the Kidzone, including slacklining, an inflatable slide and assault course, bouncy castles, circus skills workshops and a mobile caving experience (YES... ALL FREE).
Free camping and campervan pitches mean you can really embrace the festival atmosphere! And all for three great causes!!!
