Description

The Jack Mac Jazz Quintet is a Cardiff-based Jazz ensemble which performs regularly in venues in and around the capital.

Its line-up includes Jack McDougal on Tenor Saxophone, Tom Voyce on Trumpet, Michael Blanchfield on Piano, Matheus Prado on Double Bass and Alex Goodyear on Drums.

Always well-received at the highly successful Friday evening Amser Jazz Time at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, the group's repertoire covers the catalogue of jazz standards, with inspiration from many great jazz musicians, including Sonny Rollins, Coleman Hawkins, Louis Armstrong, Wayne Shorter and Charlie Parker.

The ensemble can act either as a stationary or mobile group to suit the event required.
