Joe Astley is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Wigan.
As a professional musician based in the North-West of England, his musical talents have earned him respect in both his solo career as well as in his five-piece rock ‘n’ roll band The Back Pages, who released their debut album “Rock ‘n’ Roll Is Dead!” in November 2018.
Their unique harmonies and stadium-style anthems have gained them popularity on Liverpool’s music scene at Mathew Street’s world famous Cavern Club as well as other well-established venues. In 2018, Joe recorded some of his original songs at the iconic Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, where the likes of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee-Lewis and Johnny Cash cut their teeth. As a solo artist, Joe is well known for his monstrous sets, sometimes playing for up to six hours at a time without a break, he covers music of every genre and decade on request, bringing his energetic style to pubs and clubs all around the North.
The bar, via six hand pulls sells a regular changing range of AllGates’ and guest beers, plus lagers .
There is a large beer garden to the rear and a heated covered smoking area.
