Live Performance
Brass Band
Royal Wootton Bassett Brass Band was formed in it's present style in 1980, by a small group of talented amateur musicians, and has seen quite a number of comings and goings. Since January 2006 there has been phenomenal improvement and progress in all aspects of the Band's operation.
The Band plays a wide range of music from pop to classical and religious. We perform in park concerts, informal birthday parties, fetes, accompany church services when asked; we also entertain in various halls and supermarkets as well as the streets of Wootton Bassett.
Our John Coles Park is the jewel in our crown – a beautiful green space in the heart of Chippenham regularly attracting 1,500 people on a sunny, summer weekend. The park offers a large area of open space and a circular walk through mature trees. It is maintained to its consistent high standard by our outside team.
The park is open from 8am to dusk spring and summer and from 8am to 4pm from early November to mid-January.
The Bandstand in John Coles Park will be hosting a selection of Sunday afternoon concerts which are free to attend. These popular concerts are a firm favourite in the diary and a super reason to make up a picnic and relax with some gentle toe tapping.
All concerts start at 3pm until 5pm
