Description

Lancing Brass is a lively family band on the south coast, tucked between Brighton and Worthing. We are officially licenced to The Royal British Legion and have been affiliated to the RBL since our formation in 1966, proudly supporting the Poppy Fund.

Rehearsals are once a week at The British Legion Club in Lancing. We have a learner band offering free tuition and instrument loan. Lancing Brass has a high standard of musicians but new faces are always welcome, and we constantly seek to expand our repertoire and playing standards.

We perform throughout Sussex at venues and events such as the London to Brighton Bike Ride, Arundel Festival, Newhaven Fort, Worthing Armed Forces Day, and numerous indoor and outdoor concerts through the season. We have also made two popular CDs in recent years.

Description

Visit Horsham Park for its wide open spaces, tranquil Sensory Garden and Human Nature Garden, buzzing sports clubs and activity centres, and its excellent children’s play area.

Perfect for picnics, barbecues and feeding the ducks, Horsham Park is the best place in town to relax on a sunny afternoon. Head for the Conservatory Café when you fancy an ice cream, and enjoy live music from the bandstand.

Horsham Park is open all day every day. Admission is free.

There are three car parks at Horsham Park: North Parade, Hurst Road (Pavilions Leisure Centre) and North Street. These are shown on the map above.

Horsham Park is also an easy walk from Horsham town centre car parks.

The Conservatory Café by the Podium and picnic benches serves hot and cold food and drinks and has toilets.

There is a Changing Places fully accessible toilet in the Pavilions in the Park leisure centre.
Horsham Park has two beautiful landscapes gardens to explore. Park House Garden is a tranquil sensory garden designed with the disabled and visually impaired in mind. The Human Nature Garden is a lovely educational garden illustrating the link between plants and people in their everyday lives. The Garden was created by Horsham in Bloom and funded by the Big Lottery.

There are lots of picnic benches beside the Podium, perfectly positioned to enjoy the live music and children's entertainment performances.

Barbecues are permitted in Horsham Park and there is plenty of space to spread out. Please ensure your barbecue is not placed directly on the grass, to avoid scorching, and that all food and other rubbish is cleared away afterwards. Please also ensure that the barbecue has cooled before placing it in the bins or removing from site.
