Live Performance
Singer songwriter. Folk Noir
Noted as ‘One to watch in 2016’ by NewSoundWales, Siobhan McCrudden’s voice has been described as “fragile, pure and hugely distinctive”. Having played in both Britain and the US Siobhan’s folk noir songwriting draws on those experiences, reflecting a vivid fascination with both folk roots and the vast melodic landscapes of Americana.
Her early performances found her on the coffee house circuit of New York where the influence of country and folk embedded itself in her song writing style. From these beginnings Siobhan went on to play larger gigs both in America and at home, performing at festivals and folk clubs alike. She has had radio play of her songs both locally on Cardiff Radio and on BBC Wales through BBC Introducing's Adam Walton.
Siobhan McCrudden will be releasing her debut album ‘Icarus Girl’ in Summer 2018, produced by artrock musician and producer GRICE, on indie label hungersleep records.
For one weekend, the world's leading thinkers head to HowTheLightGetsIn's idyllic festival site set on the edge of the Black Mountains, next to the River Wye.
But it's not just debates and talks. There's also an inspiring lineup of music, comedy and performance across our atmospheric venues.
