Tenement Jazz band are a traditional jazz band formed in early 2018 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Brought together by their shared love of New Orleans music, and comprising musicians from various corners of Edinburgh’s vibrant jazz scene, they are on a journey of exploration back to the roots of the music that they play.

Their aims are to capture the raw energy and excitement of the early jazz recordings, to find and revive lesser-heard songs and cultivate their own interpretations of these, all in order to captivate experienced jazzers, dancing persons, and uninitiated ears alike.

The Walnut Tree Inn is a family run hotel, bar and restaurant that offers fresh cooking, a well stocked bar and individually styled guest rooms

Situated just outside the historic village of Blisworth near Northampton and Towcester with easy access from the M1, the A43 and the A508 to Milton Keynes, the hotel is an ideal location for good quality informal dining, enjoying one of our music or comedy nights or just relaxing in our bar.

The Walnut Tree Inn is a wonderful setting for civil ceremonies and wedding receptions. We aim to create a reception you will always remember in a relaxed informal setting of a country inn.

Our large function room, The Ellington Room and our smaller Hayes Room are available for hire for parties, celebrations and conferences.
