Description

The Tewit Youth Band is comprised of young people between the ages of 7 and 19 from the Harrogate District, the band plays around 30 concerts a year, both within the district and beyond and enjoys a high reputation, particularly among other musicians.

Our repertoire covers a wide variety of musical styles, from traditional brass band pieces to TV and film themes and arrangements of popular tunes.

We are self-supporting and fundraising is always high on the agenda for the committee, made up of dedicated and long-suffering parents of players - both past and present.

However, we are fortunate to have the sponsorship of The Arts Council for England.

Description

The Bandstand was built by volunteers and public subscription in 2000 by the river at the Wilderness Car Park in Wetherby.
