Brass Band
Old Silkstone Band is one of South Yorkshire’s oldest brass bands, with a history dating back to 1861. The band originates from the village of Silkstone, near Barnsley, where we have been based for over 150 years.
Rehearsals now held in Silkstone Common Methodist Church Sunday 7pm -9pm & Wednesday 8pm – 10pm
The Bandstand was built by volunteers and public subscription in 2000 by the river at the Wilderness Car Park in Wetherby.
