Description

We are a local community band who welcomes players of all ages and abilities.

We meet regularly on Saturday mornings throughout term time to rehearse and enjoy playing music together.

All Rehearsals take place on Saturday mornings between 9:45am and 11:45am at Prudhoe Community High School.

The band has 50+ players of all ages and abilities and welcomes new members particularly younger players. We have several families whose parents and children play together including one family of three generations!

We play a wide range of music from simple but fun pieces, to challenging classical scores.

Whatever your style we are bound to have a piece you enjoy playing.

Many younger players have developed their abilities whilst playing in the band and have gone on to study music in higher education and achieve very high standards.

We play at various venues throughout the year culminating in our annual concert.

The band is conducted by our musical director and renowned Trumpeter Dave Hignett, known for his boundless enthusiasm, exceptional musicianship and unique sense of humour!
