The Big Blue have played blues festivals, beer festivals and private gigs at garden parties, BBQs, birthday parties, weddings, charity gigs, New Year parties, end-of-term celebrations, biker gatherings, anniversaries and many other special occasions.
We don't churn out the usual song covers (you won't be singing along to "Hi Ho Silver Lining") but if you're looking for music that'll have you reaching for your air guitar and shimmyin' and shakin' your booty, The Big Blue may be just right for you.
As a three-piece, we don't take up too much room, although we can't guarantee that Stuart won't take a stroll through the audience in search of a suitable "bottle-neck" to run along his fretboard. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
The Smugglers provides a warm and friendly atmosphere in its oak beamed bar and restaurant with open fires in both, essential when there’s a nautical nip in the air.
The restaurant is available for private hire, for all occasions and we do also welcome coach parties with advance notice.
For the warmer days we have a large garden area with children’s play area where they can pretend they are smugglers, or at least wear themselves out for you.
We have a large car park and are conveniently placed for the local campsites and holiday parks.
