Live Performance
Rock 'n' Roll
Paris Street Rebels are a Rock'n'Roll band from Ballingry, Fife, Scotland.
Our generation’s not yet fulfilled our destiny if I’m honest. We all occupy a unique and significant sliver of history that in the ages to come will surely will be seen for what it is...Revolutionary.
No other generation before or since will simultaneously know the innocence and ignorance of the old 20th century and be cruelly forced to fall for the teenage dream just as the internet age rendered this outdated idea obsolete.
Some will lament, imitate and outright parody these outdated models of performance and poetry....after all it seems like the only logical action when all the cool kids grew up listening to the 20th centuries greatest cultural monuments. Nina Simone. The Doors. The Beatles. Buddy Holly. Nirvana. Oasis. The Smiths. David Bowie. Bill Hicks. Muhammad Ali.
We are no different.
Theres just one question we all need to ask ourselves before we let our star burn out , before we give up on creating our own heroes and icons. Do we have a story worth telling?
Have we become so poisoned by information that we forgot to plant our own flag in the ground and have we neglected our own responsibility to push culture forward, musically or otherwise?
Most of our heroes are dead and buried or alive and ignored. We picked up guitars to tell our story. We believe its worth telling.
The question is do you?
King Tut’s is an integral part of Glasgow’s thriving grassroots music scene as well as bringing the most exciting new musical talent to the city.
Playing a gig at this 300 capacity venue has become a seminal point in the career of an impressive array of artists leading NME to name King Tut’s ‘Britain’s Best Small Venue’ in 2011, and ‘quite possibly the finest small venue in the world’ in 2007. Radio 1 also named it the ‘UK’s Best Live Venue’ three years in a row and King Tut’s was voted number 7 in New York Magazine’s ‘Follow Your Bliss List’ – a list of fifty euphoria-inducing destinations to visit before you die (above climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and Swimming with Hippos in Botswana!)
As well as the upstairs gig room, the King Tut's basement Bar & Kitchen serves up a selection of burgers, chilli, mac n cheese and more. What's more, you can wash this down with our very own King Tut's Lager!
King Tut's is a public bar and everybody is welcome regardless of whether you are attending a gig or not. Children are also welcome accompanied with an adult while the kitchen is still serving food.
All gigs are 18+, unless it states that the show is for “Over 14’s”.
