Description

The Jamestown Brothers are an 8-piece band featuring guitars, banjo, fiddle, piano, trombone, bass and drums. This mix of instrumentation combined with vocal harmonies and original material creates a unique sound.

Playing soul stirring footstomping original songs drawn from the well of country, blues and folk.

Whether taking to the festival stage on a balmy summer's evening or an intimate show in a local venue the band is equally at home.

The Dolphin Profile Pic

Description

Re-opened and refurbished in 2012, the Dolphin has taken on a new lease of life, with new staff, great ales and a very fine home-cooked menu. We're open every day in North Street, Wellington and we'd love to welcome you inside to show you the changes we've made.

Our aim was was create a 'proper' pub. The kind of place where you can drop in for a swift half on the way home from work, or while away the hours in a comfy sofa, chatting with friends. A place where choice tunes bring a bar to life, without drowning out the banter, and where a morning coffee can all too quickly turn into afternoon tea.

The pub is a like to the Forth Bridge there will always be painting to be done as its such a large building however the function room is finished and the pool table is operational. We hope to turn the Dolphin into something other than just another pub. We want to build a place where customers feel wanted, valued and at home, it will take time as Rome wasn't built in a day however we are heading in the right direction.
