Imagine a two-piece band that can nail songs like David Bowie's Life On Mars, Queen's Killer Queen or Joan Armatrading's Love and Affection -- a bold, versatile and talented acoustic act who can pull off classic tunes that other bands don't attempt.
With their great stagecraft, creative arrangements and tight vocal harmonies, The Lightwaves have been amazing audiences across the East of England since early 2017. In 2018 they appeared on Cambridge 105 radio, played at Cambridge's legendary Strawberry Fair and Big Weekend festivals, and made over 25 other public and private appearances. Tables of between 2 and 10 can be reserved in our restaurant, and we also enjoy welcoming larger groups of up to 40 in this fantastic centuries-old space.
Our garden seats up to 200 and is open all year round. It provides great access to Grantchester’s famous Meadows.
Tables in the bar are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Bar menu available for food. We are delighted to welcome well-behaved dogs in the bar area but unfortunately not in our restaurant.
