Opened by Her Majesty The Queen in 1978, The Cresset has been at the heart of the community ever since.

From local events to shows, corporate and private functions we have played host to an incredible range of events over the years, and welcomed millions of people through our doors.

During shows there is a vending stall within the theatre foyer selling soft drinks, sweets, crisps and ice creams. Also within this area is a bar selling alcoholic drinks.

However it should be pointed out that on some occasions alcoholic drinks are not allowed into the auditorium.
