ALBERT LEE
"A musical genius." Ralph McTell"A brilliant guitar player. His sound is unmistakable - often emulated, never equalled." Emmylou Harris"Great musicians make you want to dance, make you cry and make you fall in love, and Albert does that with his playing." Jools HollandOne of the most respected and renowned guitarists in music history, Albert Lee has worked with The Everly Brothers, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris and The Crickets over his long and illustrious career. The British-born country-rock artist started his career during the emerging rock 'n' roll scene of sixties London, when he swapped bands with the likes of Jimmy Page and Chris Farlowe. After moving to the U.S. and assimilating himself into the country music scene, Albert quickly garnered a reputation as one of the fastest guitar players in the business. He recorded a number of solo albums, and won a Grammy in 2002 for his contribution on 'Foggy Mountain Breakdown'.

Inspiring Space, Inspiring Lives
Union Chapel is an award winning music venue in Islington, North London. But it’s more than that, it’s Victorian Gothic architectural jewel, that’s still a working church, home to an incredible organ and the base for The Margins Project which works with people facing homelessness and isolation.
Coming to an event at Union Chapel supports the conservation and development of the building. Union Chapel operates as a charity dedicated to looking after the space and opening it to a diverse group of people. In the past 25 years the Chapel has gone from facing demolition to being Grade 1 listed and from being virtually abandoned to welcoming tens of thousands of visitors a year.
We have been voted London’s favourite venue in public polls an amazing three times, in 2002, 2012 and 2014.
