They made their mark with early singles like “One of These Days” and “Stormchild”, even earning the respect of Metallica’s Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield. After disbanding in the early ’80s, the band reformed in the ’90s and then again more permanently in 2015, releasing new albums including Footprints in the Rock (2018) and Wolf at the Door (2023), while staying true to their signature twin-guitar NWOBHM sound. Critics and fans alike praise their melodic yet powerful style, staying rooted in classic metal while bringing emotional depth and lyrical meaning. Born in East Anglia back in 2009, KAINE have been carrying the flame of classic heavy metal into the 21st century. Their sound draws straight from the legends — think razor-sharp riffs and galloping rhythms inspired by the founders of heavy metal and early thrash: Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden — with a modern edge that refuses to stay retro! Over more than a decade and a half, they’ve released five studio albums, from Falling Through Freedom (2012) to their 2022 record After Extinction. Their latest release even broke into the UK official charts — no small feat for a self-released, independent outfit.

Home to buzz, banter and televised sports, Cart and Horses is also very well-known for the fact that the British legendary rock band Iron Maiden played their first gigs here.
