Genre : Music - Folk/blues/world

Description

Centred around Hawkshead Brewery's 'Beer Hall', The Lake District Folk Weekend takes place in the picturesque Lakeland village of Staveley, near Kendal.

Staveley is perfectly situated; being only 10 minutes from the West Coast Mainline on the 'Lakes Line' from Oxenholme Lake District to Windermere, it is also served by frequent buses (Lancaster to Keswick) and boasts a variety of independent shops and cafes.

Staveley is the perfect base for walking and cycling, with both long and short routes for all abilities starting from the village. We are at the start of the beautiful Kentmere Valley - one of the quietest valleys in the District.

Concerts are held Friday and Saturday evenings in The River Bar above the Hawkshead Brewery's flagship tasting space, The Beer Hall, where more music will be on offer. The Village Hall hosts a concert on Friday and ceilidh on Saturday.

These concerts are supplemented by dozens of performances in the village pub and cafes. Workshops, singarounds and sessions in the brewery, pavilion and Eagle & Child allow all visitors to get involved.

Morris sides will perform in the village throughout the weekend.

Do come and spend a weekend with us in the Lakes. Whether you're a singer, instrumentalist, real-ale lover, or just like a good festival atmosphere - we guarantee a great weekend!

Camping spaces are limited and will only be available to pre booked campers.
