Two days of investigation, imagination and discovery for children aged 6 to 12yrs who love being creative and learning through fun activities. Led by the experienced cultural services learning team, at Kids? Club children will explore the past, experience the museum and gallery and make really cool things!
Monday 22 August: HISTORY MAGIC: Tales of the past our filled with mythical creatures and stories to explain the world around us. Make magical beasts, potions and wands to bring to life with your spell book.
Tuesday 23 August: ROMANS: What did the Romans ever do for us? Find out about what Roman Southampton was like, make your kit and join the Roman army, enjoy object handling and prepare for war!
These workshops will run from 9am through to 4.30pm and are based at SeaCity and the City Art Gallery. We will move between venues. Please drop off from 8.45am and pick up from the SeaCity main entrance and provide snacks, lunch and a drink. A registration form must be completed prior to arrival.
PLEASE EMAIL ASAP after booking to arrange for a form to be sent to you. museums.education@southampton.gov.uk We want to make your visit as enjoyable and safe as possible at this time. Due to Covid 19 we need to carefully manage the numbers of people we have in our venue and so anyone entering the workshop will need to have a ticket.
In the unlikely event of our having to cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
