Born in Lancashire in 1980, the daughter of legendary blues singer Victor Brox, Kyla started singing on-stage at the age of 12 and has several albums to her name, including Coming Home and the stripped-back and sensitive Grey Sky Blue.

Her latest album, Pain & Glory, has just been released to great critical acclaim.

Kyla's voice remains a stunning example of the soul singer's art: turning up the heat by degrees, lulling and charming before unleashing emotional catharsis, and blurring the distinction between pleasure and pain like the soul greats of old. Winner of the 5th UK Blues Challenge in 2018 and the European Blues Challenge in 2019 Kyla also represented the UK in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis earlier this year where she only narrowly missed making it to the final.
