Miranda Sykes, the acclaimed singer and double bassist with the fabulous Show of Hands, makes a welcome return to Firbeck Village Hall on Friday 20th September 2019.
She is a multi-talented singer, double bass and guitar player who easily slips between genres as diverse as folk, jazz, rock and pop. Her rich, spine-tingling vocals are strident, yet sensitive and Miranda has had career spanning over 20 years, where she has worked alongside some of the finest musicians and singers within the folk world.
Miranda is returning to her roots and touring as she started out: One Woman, one bass, and one guitar with her new album 'Behind The Wall'. With her sensational voice, Miranda interprets the soul of the land and takes her audience on a journey that resonates with us all, wherever we live and it is one you won't want to miss.
