Description

LUKE JAMES WILLIAMS
After 6 years as the frontman of The October Game, which saw the release of 3 albums, extensive touring throughout the UK and Europe and regular radio play on BBC6 Music, Cambridgeshire based singer-songwriter Luke James Williams released his first solo track in January 2017. 'Jenny Writes Letters' was immediately picked up by Charlie Ashcroft of Amazing Radio who called the track 'A perfect slice of alt folk pop'. Over the last year or so Luke has been writing new material and released his debut EP 'Drove' in November 2018. Drawing influences from the likes of Sufjan Stevens and PJ Harvey, Williams is now building a reputation as an engaging live performer.

'One man, and a Spanish guitar and the song-writing and vocal delivery are just so raw, heartfelt and beautiful I just found it irresistible' - Tom Robinson, BBC6 Music

'Reminds me of Bon Iver, only with an English accent' - Louder Than War

ANNIE DRESSNER
Since moving from her hometown of New York City to the UK seven years ago, singer-songwriter Annie Dressner has received considerable recognition for both her live shows and recorded work. Her songs are delivered with a conversational ease and it often seems as if she is reading from an intimate letter or a book, set to music. Her straightforward lyrical style, sharp ear for wordplay and crisp, lilting vocals offer listeners a front row seat to her stories, as they take shape above the understated music. She released her debut album, 'Strangers Who Knew Each Other's Names' in 2011, followed that up with an EP, 'East Twenties' in 2013 and released her second album 'Broken into Pieces' to critical acclaim in October 2018 .
Annie's songs have been played on BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 music and she has appeared at major UK festivals, such as Green Man, Secret Garden Party and Cambridge Folk Festival.

'Shatteringly good' - Folk Radio UK

'How lovely was that' - Tom Ravenscroft BBC6 Music
