The Buffalo Skinners return to the RAOS Hall.The band have played to enthusiastic audiences in Ripon twice before, their country tinged folk, pop, retro rock style has proved very popular with audiences. They have honed their musical and performance skills busking on the city streets of York, Leeds, Edinburgh and Dublin among others.
Sheffield's The Buffalo Skinners are back to start a fresh chapter in the group's decade long career with new song 'Do What You Want' the first side of a new 7″ the group are releasing 21st June, via Loose Chat Records.
Falling into a space between T. Rex, The Smiths, The Felice Brothers and Big Thief, the group have got three full length studio albums under their belts over their decade long career, the most recent of these being 2016's 'Cease Your Dreaming' produced by Mercury Prize nominated Colin Eliot (Richard Hawley, Kylie, Slow Club).
The Buffalo Skinners are: Peter Seccombe (guitar & vocals), Robbie Thompson (bass & vocals), Phil Nixon (Guitar) James Nicholls (violin & vocals) and Miles Stapleton (drums)
With four active and contributing songwriters in the group, The Buffalo Skinners are painting from a broad palette of influence, whilst always maintaining their core sound

This event will be mainly standing although some seating will be available
The RAOS Hall lounge bar will be open at 7.00pm, of course serving Roosters draught ale and bottled beers a selection of lagers, wines, spirits and soft drinks.
The concert hall will open at 8.00pm, music starts at about 8.30pm
