With 25 years of unrivalled musical partnership and gathering nominations, awards and critical acclaim along the way, British artists and singer-songwriters While & Matthews are celebrating this year with a brand new album and an extensive Autumn tour of the UK as well as numerous summer festivals. Nominated ten times in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 'Best Song, Best Duo and Best Live Act' categories, winning Best Duo in 2009, Chris While and Julie Matthews are at the very top of their field, more sought after and creative than ever. They've had a tremendous creative run up to their commemorative year; performing 'The Ballads of Child Migration' as a Live Broadcast at The Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards alongside Boo Hewerdine, John McCusker and Kris Drever with a standing ovation and also touring this powerful and moving piece throughout the UK. The tremendous audience response continued nationally while touring across the country with all-female super group 'Daphne's Flight' which includes musical colleagues Christine Collister, Helen Watson and Melanie Harrold . Then upon returning to Australia on their 12th biennial tour, they were named 'Artists of the Year' at the prestigious Port Fairy Music Festival, one of the biggest events of its kind in Australasia. Celebrate with them in the best way possible by seeing and hearing them Live. A truly unique and vibrant partnership!
