We present nu-Phonic - a new project formed to showcase original contemporary jazz compositions. It is a quartet featuring Roger Humbles, on saxes, who has performed at Ronnie Scotts, the Royal Festival Hall, and the 606 Club among other venues. Members of the group are Matt Skeaping on drums (credits include stints with Jamie Callum, Claire Martin, the late Dudu Pukwana, TJ Johnson and others), Christian Prior on piano (he also runs the Gin Trap House Band and the Dreiklang trio), and Julie Walkington on acoustic bass. She has been a part of the London jazz scene for nearly 3 decades, playing with noted musicians such as Harry Beckett, Jim Mullen, Russ Henderson, Lol Coxhill, and Barb Jungr.
