The Oxted Sessions are so excited and very delighted to present the wonderful She Makes War!
She Makes War is the solo project of Bristol based multi-instrumentalist, producer and visual artist Laura Kidd. Blending urgent indie rock with melancholy torch songs, her fourth album Brace For Impact was released in October 2018, via My Big Sister Recordings, and reached #15 in the Official Independent Album Chart.
She Makes War has toured extensively throughout Europe, winning a deeply loyal following through her spell-binding live shows, and has supported such luminaries as Filthy Friends, Frank Turner, Juliana Hatfield, The Magic Numbers, The Levellers and Robin Ince.
One of the most enthralling and innovative live performers on the UK circuit today, She Makes War is sure to be one of the most memorable gigs you go to this year.
Support for the gig comes from a familiar face to the Oxted Sessions - the breathtakingly talented Amber T!
At just 15 years of age, Amber is one of the freshest young talents bubbling up in the music industry right now, wowing audiences with her musicianship and songwriting.
In the past 2-years, Amber has notched up over 100-gigs nationwide. Garnering huge interest throughout the industry for her incredible talent at such a young age, 2019 has already been a huge year for Amber.
Since playing a stunning set at the Oxted Folk & Blues Fest in February, Amber's first single TICK TOCK (her first release as vocalist and co-writer) was recorded with Mega Asian/British Producer Dr Zeus.
The track was released in April, after a Radio One exclusive play and interview, and had reached over ONE MILLION YouTube views within four days and has now reached 1.5 MILLION views.
Amber T is a name to remember, and we are delighted she is once again able to grace the Oxted Sessions.
