The award-winning playwright, photographer and poet, Simon Corble, shares an evening of his Peak experiences:
Encounters with the weather, wildlife and people; some amusing, some thought-provoking and many involving a Springer Spaniel or two. His magic poems are told in a conversational style, as his atmospheric, monochrome landscapes are projected onto a large screen and a soundtrack of wild recordings fill the air. "A beautiful work of art in every one of its facets" - Jim Marriott, Buxton Festival Fringe Review.
The Village Hall was opened in May 1907 and is still going strong.
In May 2007 the village celebrated the 100th anniversary of using the Village Hall. To mark this occasion the History Society produced 3 videos about its origins, the official opening in 1907 and the centenary celebrations, which you can see on the website.
