Description

THE DIALS

The Dials are a 4 piece band from Brighton in the UK. Their genre has been described as "psychedelic garage and surf noir" - I don't know if that's any use as a guide but I do know they are a delight to listen to and you'll leave the gig with a warm glow in your innards somewhere.

Glides effortlessly between the harmonic swoon of The Byrds, the poppier elements of the Velvets and the child-like psych of Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd. Uncut Magazine

COLUMN258

Column258 is an experimental music project with 7 members who play swamp/ alt-punk grunge-jazz, but prefer to go label-free. Their music has a foundation of spoken word and blends both analogue and digital sounds, from horns to mini-moogs, guitars to improvised instruments, found natural objects and samples.

They combine spoken word with elements of a mythical Americana, Canterbury-scene English whimsy, alt groove, punk-jazz and improv-electronica: everything is improvised, with individual song structures based on a loose set of ideas, and realised through each musician's intuition, empathy and careful attention to the music's continuously unfolding dynamics.
