Rens
Rens is a London-based singer-songwriter who writes mellow songs with a melancholic undertone. Inspired by indie-folk and ambient music, she uses breathy vocals and distinctive melodies to create captivating songs that reflect the world around her.

She is currently working on her debut single 'The Atlantic Ocean' which will be released later this year.

Her large and skilled band (which includes strings and beautifully blended harmonies) will be joining her on stage for this performance. Together they will present a set containing familiar as well as brand new songs

Lennox
Lennox seamlessly integrates a wide palette of musical tastes from Alternative, Soul, Rock,Blues, R&B, Funk and reggae.

'I take my inspirations from many influences and artists and filter it through my Caribbean sensibilities'

Influences ranging from Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, to Dennis Brown and Sam Cooke. These come together to create a dynamic, groovy, smooth and soulful sound driven by infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics.

With beginnings as a bassist in rock music, Lennox has performed with various leading local and regional artists across a wide variety of genres

With performances at events such as The Barbados Jazz Festival, The Virgin Atlantic Music Festival,The Bequia Blues Festival & Mount Gay Rum's 'From Inside The Circle', Lennox brings his raw performance energy to microphone in a way that leaves you and your spirit moving

Description

A pub and music bar on the perimeter of Cambridge Circus, at the corner of Romilly Street and Moor Street. First licensed in 1686 as the George, the current building dates from 1898 and the current name from 1986. (One of the old names, Cantons, can be seen being held by one of the gargoyles on the top of the building).

Famous in the 1960s and 70s for folk music and then punk, latterly it has become a jazz venue and home to SpiceJazz club. Up to 5 real ales from the McMullen range on offer and free admission to the main bar but you may have to pay for some music gigs in the basement.

Upstairs at the Spice is for drinks, eats and good times. Enjoy Great British classics with special seasonal dishes prepared daily by our chefs.
