Join us for our regular comedy night at the John Peel Centre!

The evening will feature Adam Hess and Athena Kublenu, plus a fantastic compère.


Headliner: Adam Hess
Adam Hess is a prolific writer, known for his surreal one liners who has proved himself to be an accomplished narrative and sketch writer, too.

He has been nominated for Chortle Best Circuit Comedian and Chortle Best Newcomer and was a staff-writer on Russell Howard's Good News. He has appeared on Tonight at the London Palladium, Live From The BBC, Comedy Central at the Comedy Store, The Chris Ramsey Show, Stand up Sketch Show,  Elevenish, Count Arthur Strong, Australia's 'Comedy Up Late' and had his own segment in the Award Winning Dave Podcast. Adam is also one of the creators of underground cult hit The Bearpit Podcast Podcast.

Opener: Athena Kublenu
Athena is a BBC New Comedy Awards finalist and 2017 nominee for the 99 Club Female Comedians' Bursary. She writes for BBC Radio 4, regularly appears on BBC radio and in 2017 represented the UK at the Johannesburg International Comedy Festival. She has also taken two acclaimed hours to the Edinburgh Fringe, KMT (2017) and Follow the Leader (2018).

Brought to you by Little Wander, the team behind the World renowned Machynlleth Comedy Festival, and the Last Laugh Comedy Tent at Green Man Festival. Running monthly comedy clubs across the UK. the likes of James Acaster, Sara Pascoe, Joe Lycett, Tim Key, Bridget Christie and more have previously appeared, and now Little Wander will now be bringing the cream of the UK's stand-up comedy scene to the John Peel Centre.
