Description

This is a special acoustic blues night at Wadsworth Community Centre with accclaimed blues and rock guitarist Chantelle McGregor.

This gig is the Wadsworth music gig in Independent Venue Week.

Chantel McGregor, a female guitar prodigy attended Leeds College of Music where she achieved a number of awards, including the Leeds College of Music Prize for Outstanding Musicianship. She gained a First Class Honours degree in Popular Music in 2008 and has gone on to develop a career in the UK and international blues and rock music scene, performing solo and with her band.

In 2011, she won "Young Artist of the Year" at the British Blues Awards. going on to win "Best Female Vocalist" twice and "Guitarist Of The Year" twice at the British Blues Awards

She has released three albums; the most recent 'Bury'd Alive' in September 2019. This live album of Chantel with her band is described as "raw, passionate and perfectly shows off what level of musicianship you'd get from one of her shows."
