The Sunset Café Stompers are a 7 piece outfit comprising some of the UK's finest exponents of vintage New Orleans jazz. Expect to hear ragtime, gospel and blues by the likes of Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton, Duke Ellington and Fats Waller delivered with verve and delight by this talented ensemble.
They must be one of the best territory bands in the country Just Jazz magazine.

The Stompers are inspired by the Sunset Café, a renowned jazz-age night-spot on Chicago's notorious South Side. Al Capone owned it, Louis Armstrong starred there. The band does play the music of that period... but their acclaimed repertoire also features great tunes by artists as different as Big Joe Turner, Patsy Cline, Marilyn Monroe, Fats Domino... and, yes, Elvis.
