On her return to EFG LJF, Bzhezhinska showcases her original compositions and works of jazz legends Alice Coltrane, Dorothy Ashby, McCoy Tyner and Pharoah Sanders. She creates a unique musical fusion by marrying the contemporary harp style with free jazz, afro-beat and elements of acid jazz.
With Tony Kofi's sizzling solos, Vimala Rowe's soulful voice and a strong support of the rhythm section this programme is not one to be missed.

Internationally renowned harpist Alina Bzhezhinska first stormed the UK music scene in 2017 when her quartet featured alongside the legendary Pharoah Sanders. A performance that nominated her for Jazz FM's Best Live Experience of the Year. After winning the PRS Women Make Music Award Bzhezhinska produced her critically acclaimed album, Inspiration (Ubuntu Music), backed by award winner saxophonist Tony Kofi, bassist Larry Bartley and drummer Joel Prime.
Her ensembles, HipHarpCollective and Alina Bzhezhinska Quartet have performed at Edinburgh International Festival, Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club and WOMADalaide Festival, Australia. Her collaborative work has included artists as Kamaal Williams, The Third Orchestra, Shabaka Hutchings, Georgia Mancio and Django Bates.
