A night with ace jazz and soul vocalist Barnaby Wynter (AKA Bambi) and band at legendary east London venue Jamboree. Live music from 8pm.
Bambï is a vocalist and musician from West Sussex, currently based in Mile End. Having grown up as a chorister in Chichester Cathedral before going on to sing in the many chapels of Oxford, his musical experiences are firmly rooted in the church. However, jazz music and the singer-songwriter tradition have become his main loves, with Carmen McRae, Theo Bleckmann and Laura Marling among some of his influences.
Having just returned from a month in France, tonight Bambi will showcase some exciting new writing from his travels as well as songs by some other much-loved musicians. Joining him is very good friend and pianist Harry Baker, who is currently studying for a Masters in jazz at the Royal Academy of Music.
Jamboree is a grass-roots world music venue and bar hosting Folk, Blues, Americana, Celtic, Mediterranean, Eastern, European, GypsyPunk and Old Time Jazz!
Jamboree is back with a POP-UP adventure in a different venue in Limehouse from December 1st!
