Genre : Music - Folk/blues/world
Jasmine Watkiss and Zoë Wren, two harmony-obsessed singer-songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, accidentally formed a duo at a gig in Ely in 2018 and haven't looked back since. Roswell won Purbeck Valley Folk Festival's Purbeck Rising 2018 competition, which led to a busy summer festival tour, during which they were also invited to Switzerland to play at the Geneva Fête de la Musique.
Their debut single 'Heaven Knows' was selected for Fatea's Winter Showcase, and they released their first EP 'Remedy', recorded in the Roundhouse studios, which Americana UK called 'a seamless flow of rich, harmonic beauty'. Roswell's second EP will be released in February 2020
The harmonies are tight and both Zoe Wren and Jasmine Watkiss have such a vocal range they can weave and swoop around each other in quite a breathtaking way. Tony Birch
Green Note was founded by two friends and passionate music lovers who wanted to create their ideal place to hang out in London...
Our dream was to create a place where we could share music that we loved – somewhere with a laid back, intimate and friendly atmosphere. Becoming friends in our school days, the seed for our idea was planted many years ago. After lots of hard work, many ups and downs, and learning more than we ever could have imagined along the way, our dream became a reality when Green Note opened its doors in the Summer of 2005. Now in our fourteenth year, we have established a reputation as one of London’s best spots for roots, world and acoustic music, and we’re constantly astonished by the wealth of incredible musicians who grace our stage. We’re really proud of what we have created, and happy to be able to share it with you.
