In just a few short years, UK-based guitarist Nicolas Meier has carved out a reputation as one of the UK's most original and uniquely talented guitarists. Drawing from a love of Turkish, Eastern & Middle Eastern music, Flamenco, Tango and more, Meier is one of the rising stars in a vibrant British jazz scene. His versatility and musical fluency extend well beyond that: his considerable talents drew the attention of rock guitar legend, Jeff Beck, who has since made Nicolas a mainstay in The Jeff Beck Group, with whom he played on two world tours during the last few years. His burning passion for both rock and jazz persists to this day.
Since his emergence on the UK jazz scene, violinist Richard Jones has been in demand as both a performer and studio musician, working with artists such as Gabrielle Ducomble, Christine Tobin and Robert Mitchell. Born in Wales and now based in London, he went on to study music in Bath, where he took time out to play with acclaimed British blues band 'Kill It Kid'. Eager to expand his understanding and abilities in Jazz, he concluded his formal education in London at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Originally born in Scotland, bassist Kevin Glasgow has performed with Tommy Smith, Tim Garland and Clark Tracey, among others. He began playing bass guitar aged 16 before studying Popular Music at Napier University in Edinburgh and whilst there he played regularly on the Edinburgh jazz circuit.
Barcelona-born percussionist Demi Garcia has worked with a plethora of Flamenco artists, plus bassist Alec Dankworth's Spanish Accents and cellist Shirley Smart. He also teaches Cajon and Flamenco rhythms at the Flamenco Dance School in London.
"It's rare to come across a musician whose vision for his instrument is so vastly expansive .... Even rarer still is finding a level of creative brilliance, precision delivered with conviction and authority" - Drumhead Magazine
