THE SYAMISENIST
On tour from Japan & in Brighton for one night only!
Driven by the fierce improvisation and call and response playing style of the Tsugaru shamisen, the group compose progressive, emotionally driven songs from the fusion of traditional shamisen and rock music. Their electric performances in live houses across Tokyo have attracted fans from a range of backgrounds and become a talking point within a broad range of music scenes.
