Gaygirl + Death Of The Maiden + Bedd

Event Type

Genre : Music - General

Description

Gaygirl are a woozy, grungey noise-pop four piece from London. They sound a bit like PJ Harvey singing Hole songs. They've spent the last year releasing great singles like Sick Note and Hair and supporting some of our favourite bands like JOHN, No Violet and Frauds. They'll be touring a new EP guaranteed to bring them to far greater attention, so a great opportunity to catch them in a miniscule venue. Check them out here: https://gaygirl.bandcamp.com/

Support comes from Death of the Maiden recent victors of the annual Nightshift song competition and Bedd, a new Oxford band featuring Jamie Hyatt of The Family Machine fame.

The gig will be 18+ and the Library has several small flights of stairs, including down to the venue room. Also, our shows are inclusive shows, and we want people to feel safe. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, bigotry and general dickery of any kind will not be tolerated. If you feel like you can't handle that, feel free not to come. And if you experience any of these, speak to one of us (we'll probably be hanging about the PA/door) or to venue staff.

And finally, we recognise that gigs are a financial luxury that not everyone can afford. We try to keep our gigs as cheap as possible, and we need to be able to pay the bands fairly, but if you know you can't afford it and would like to come, get in touch and we can arrange free or discounted entry for you.
