A Friday night of swing at legendary east London venue Jamboree in the unique style of The Imaginary Hat. Live music from 8.30pm.
The Imaginary Hat blend rock, punk and 1920s jazz, resulting in a band that's as distorted as it is danceable. Through characteristically dark and absurd lyricism (think Cole Porter meets John Cooper Clarke), their songs explore the pitfalls and pleasures of 21st Century life. Since forming in 2014, the band has rapidly gained a reputation for energetic live performances full of onstage antics and spontaneity. Their new, expanded line-up has with a powerful brass section of trombone, saxophone and clarinet.
The band's sophomore EP, 'Age of Anxiety', came out on in July, 2018.
