The João Menezes Quintet explores the sounds of Brazilian music and jazz for a Sunday night at legendary east London venue Jamboree.
Focusing on Bossa Nova, Samba, Partido Alto, Baião and Choro, they will be playing music from João Gilberto, Noel Rosa, Novos Baianos, João Bosco, Guinga, Jacob Do Bandolim amongst many others.
The band will play two sets along the course of the night. Live music from 8pm.
João Menezes is a student at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Alongside him in the quintet are colleagues from his course, as well as graduates from other Conservatoires in the UK and Amsterdam.
