* Vaughan Williams - Mystical Songs
* Rutter - Te Deum
* Ireland - Greater Love
* Stanford - Songs of the Fleet
This rich programme centres around a collection of poems set to music by Stanford, Songs of the Fleet, first performed in 1910. We accompany this with works by two of Stanford's contemporaries, and former pupils; Vaughan Williams' Mystical Songs and Ireland's Greater Love. Rutter's Te Deum, written almost 80 years later, brings a more current flavour to this programme. Expect a wide range of moods, from the reflective to the triumphant.
- Conductor: Calum Fraser
- Organ: Richard Leach
Please note: given the seating arrangements at St Peter's, we are unable to allocate specific seats to prepaid tickets. Therefore, to ensure a seat and a non-restricted view, please arrive in good time before the concert.
